—  Who Am I?

I am a young committed, up-and-coming media professional from Northern Virginia, looking to make a contribution  to this vastly changing industry.  The area in which I live, professionals generally migrate to government and other large corporations.   The artistically-endowed  individuals stand out and are willing to go the extra mile to achieve their career aspirations.  In high school, I developed a passion for photography and videography.  My TV production teacher at C.D. Hylton High School inspired and encouraged  me to pursue work in the media industry.   When I entered a stop frame animation short video at the Virginia High School Film Festival. I realized that I competed with individuals with similar interest.  Currently, I am working in the information technology industry, but still pursuing my passion for the arts. 

Greater exposure and experience have allowed me to expand my resources and network of contacts with endless possibilities.  Capturing the world through different lenses allows me to tell stories of people, places and things.  I love questioning theories, ideas, and the functions of things in this world.  I always want to know why things are a certain way.  I search for counterarguments that are deemed to be the norm in society.  I believe that we should never become complacent with where we are in life and the amount of knowledge that we possess. 

I enjoy videography and photography because of the power and emotion it inspires in me.  The ability to capture something in real time and then play it back to the audience in a way to evoke an emotion is invigorating.  To create something that was once just a concept in my head is an exhilarating feeling.  One of my life goals is to travel the world and tell the stories of those who do not have the capability and resources to do it for themselves.  Everyone has a story and by telling their stories, I will also be telling my own.
